Rev. Melvina Goodman Randolph
How long have you been in ministry?
I've been in ministry since 1993. I was licensed in 2003 and ordained in 2004 at Second Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. James Henry Harris. From 2007 - 2014, I pastored Love Outreach Ministries under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Dolores B. Jones.
What is your current role/assignment?
I'm currently serving at Breaking the Bondage of Addiction Ministry alongside Elder Walter Randall. The mission of BBAM is to educate, equip and empower individuals about addictive behaviors utilizing biblical principles and 12-Step recovery
What is one of your greatest joys in ministry?
My greatest joy has been teaching biblical principles and seeing lives transformed.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I thoroughly enjoy reading and making jewelry.
What is your favorite scripture?
I have several favorites, but my all time favorite is Joshua 1:9, Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
What’s one piece of advice that would you give to a new female minister?
Authenticity is essential. As women, we don't have to duplicate ourselves or compare our gifts to that of anyone else. Trust that God has equipped you to do his will, regardless of what others think or say.
