This association is designed to embrace, encourage, and educate African American Clergy Women as they navigate through stages of ministry
Our target membership includes females who are licensed and/or ordained ministers and elders, and pastors
Receiving females who have heard a clear call from God to serve providentially with proclamation as a prominent mandate. Fellowship Opportunities, Intentional Intersection Connections, and Milestone Celebrations for our Association members will be planned at various times throughout the year.
Walking alone in ministry is discouraged with this association. This association receives clergy from all Christian denominations and receives clergy regardless of educational or seminary experience. We believe that we all can learn from each other to be better for the kingdom of God.
Continuous education and equipping is important. Each person must choose their own educational path. AAACW is here to support our clergy sisters in their growth work. Throughout the year, the association will provide opportunities for ministers to participate in workshops, intensives, and classes that will specifically focus on the needs and skill sets of clergy women. Clergy women will continue on the path of greatness with the goal of offering a balanced approach to ministering to others and caring for themselves.
Workshops and intensives will include Pastor’s Roundtable discussions, Best Practices Workshops, Sermon Preparation Techniques, Mental Health Advocacy, Mentor Support, Ministry Assessments, Business Practice Cultivation and other Equipping stations. Guest expert facilitators and hosts will be utilized throughout these offerings.
We are pleased to announce that we are building this new network community for African American Clergy Women. The Association for African American Women is here, and we want you to be a part of it. Whether you are new on your ministry journey or you have a vast amount of ministry experience and exposure, the AAACW brings us all together for the good of the kingdom of God. If you are licensed or ordained to the gospel ministry, you qualify to be a part of this association. We plan to provide educational and equipping workshops/classes throughout the calendar year. These classes will focus on our particular needs in ministry to include Round Table Discussions, Financial Planning Support, Mental Health/Self Care preparation and much more! In addition, AAACW members will receive a discount to the annual Sistah’s Keeper Clergy Conference and other benefits.
